Our 2008 goal of $25,000 was exceeded because of your generousity. Our 2009 Goal is $25,000 again. Are you able to help? Our 2009 goal will be updated in an attached comment as the year progresses.

Today, there is no cure for multiple sclerosis, and with diagnosis occurring most frequently between the ages of 20 and 50, many individuals face a lifetime filled with unpredictability.

This event is a challenge - and an opportunity - for everyone involved, participants and donors alike. With commitment to this cause, we can all be part of a historic undertaking. The funds raised from the MS Challenge Walk will not only support research to help create a world free of multiple sclerosis, but also provide programs which address the needs of hundreds of thousands of people living with MS right now. Because we choose to walk for those who sometimes can't. Because we choose to donate to the MS Challenge Walk, we are getting ever closer to the hour when no one will have to hear the words, "You have MS."

Yankee Candle Fundraiser - October 3 - October 28, 2008


Here is the information on our VERY FIRST FUNDRAISER that has been confirmed and scheduled. Please Everyone can and should participate and purchase their holiday gifts!

Yankee Candle Catalog Sale Scheduled to start no later then October 14, 2009

A proceed of each order will be donated to MS Challenge Walk Team - The Scrap Dogs

All checks must be made out to : Jane Roggero

Ending Date is October 28, 2009

All Orders must be given to Jane Roggero on or before October 29th.

The all orders will be shipped to me in approximately 4 to 6 weeks. Each order placed by an individual will be boxed separate from everyone else's. We will plan a team meeting for early to mid December so that each team member can pick up the orders for delivery. All orders taken outside of the Newport County Area will be shipped. I suggest collecting a shipping and handling charge of 6.95 or more.

25 catalogs are being mailed out to me in the next few days. Once received we can start selling we do not have to wait for October 14th. Please email me by the end of day October 3rd, 2008 if you are interested in receiving a catalog especially those out of town/state. I will get the envelopes ready to be mailed out to you.

For those out of town/state you can fax me your order forms on the 28th. I will be able to process them while you get the checks into the mail to me.

TIME IS OF ESSENCE!

This is a great opportunity to have our family, friends and co-workers support our fundraising efforts and receive something in exchange. This is also a great opportunity for everyone to do some Christmas shopping. If you are a candle burner then ask them to purchase one for you as your Christmas gift.

This is also an opportunity to ask a family member or friend that works in a large business complex - office, department store, large business complex, etc. to take orders for you just like your Dad did for you when you where a kid! Ask all they can say is NO.

This is an opportunity to give away those MS bracelets. Anyone that buys more then $50.00 or higher you could give one free. Those bracelets cost .55 cents each and sell for 1.99 each. So you want them to spend money before giving them one for free!

Princess House, Silpada Jewelry are also available for catalog/home parties. I have spoken to both and if anyone is interested email for further information.

Last call for participants in our first 2009 fundraiser - Yankee Candle.

Each Scrap Dog will receive a collection envelop with a catalog and one order form enclosed. If additional order forms are needed you may print them out at www.yankeefundraising.com. if an order form from the website is used please make a copy for your records before returning it to me. Please keep the pink copy of the order form being sent to you for your records.

All orders must be returned to me on or before October 28, 2009. I must get these orders to Yankee Candle via express mail service prior to October 30th. SO Time is of the essence!

Please charge 7% sales tax on all orders placed. All orders must be paid in full. Make all checks payable to Jane Roggero, as I will have to cash those checks and have a casher check made for Yankee for payment. Gift Cards and coupons can not be used during this fundraiser.

All orders will be shipped to me in Portsmouth in 4 to 6 weeks after end of sale. At that time we will have a Team meeting and all your orders can be picked up at that time. For out of town orders that are going to be shipped please charge 10% of order total to cover cost of shipping via USPS or UPS. Some of our 40% profit will be lost to cover shippng expenses! But not much.

The prices in the catalog are the same as in the stores.

Well, Something is better then nothing!

Meagan, Marcia and Michaela took several orders while Carol and I took very few! All in all it is just under $1000 in orders which will be about $400 to us!

We should hae the orders in about 6 weeks or sooner. I will schedule a team meeting so we can distribute the orders and celebrate the Biggest Loser!
