National MS Society - Challenge Walk: The Scrap Dog Team

How can you help?

Thank you.

Our 2008 goal of $25,000 was exceeded because of your generousity. Our 2009 Goal is $25,000 again. Are you able to help? Our 2009 goal will be updated in an attached comment as the year progresses.

Today, there is no cure for multiple sclerosis, and with diagnosis occurring most frequently between the ages of 20 and 50, many individuals face a lifetime filled with unpredictability.

This event is a challenge - and an opportunity - for everyone involved, participants and donors alike. With commitment to this cause, we can all be part of a historic undertaking. The funds raised from the MS Challenge Walk will not only support research to help create a world free of multiple sclerosis, but also provide programs which address the needs of hundreds of thousands of people living with MS right now. Because we choose to walk for those who sometimes can't. Because we choose to donate to the MS Challenge Walk, we are getting ever closer to the hour when no one will have to hear the words, "You have MS."

2009 Fundraising to begin!

Well 2009 is here and the Scrap Dogs are committed to raising some funds for the MS Society - New England Chapter's MS Challenge Walk.

We have scheduled two events.

The first is A day of facials with the Scrap Dogs at Spavana Day Spa in Portsmouth, RI on March 7. This event is being hosted by John Fitzgerald of Spavana. He will be preforming facials throughout the day with all proceeds benefiting the Scrap Dogs. Book your facial early because there isn't a lot of appointments available. Call 401-293-0920 today.

The second is a Fish Fry with the Scrap Dogs being held at the Portuguese American Club (PA Club) in Portsmouth, RI on April 3. This event is being hosted by the Scrap Dogs and various local bands. We will be selling tickets to this event starting Febuary 15th. The night will consist of good food and live accoustic music. For more information call 401-683-5377.

Other events in the works is a mucis festival in June, A Kids Day, and Training with the Scrap Dog sessions starting in April and running through August. More on these events to follow.
